WHAT IS IT?
The Study Galicia Summer Program in Spain is a 2-week immersion experience where students improve their Spanish while living the culture of northern Spain.
By living with locally sourced host families, daily morning classes, and spending afternoons and weekends exploring many of the wonders of the Galicia region, each student’s development in Spanish will be invaluable.
This is not just a summer vacation. This program is designed to build confidence, independence, and meaningful friendships with people from another country, another culture.
WHAT DOES THE STUDENT GET?
IMMERSION CLASSES – small groups working together with the teacher to improve their daily skills.
LOCAL HOST FAMILIES – vetted, caring, and genuine families from the area looking to provide accommodation for students to share the Galician/Spanish lifestyle.
CULTURAL TRIPS/ACTIVITIES – students will explore all that A Coruña has to offer, as well as other parts of the region. from historical sites to diverse islands, trying new sports and food, and learning about what makes this area not just Spanish but the gaelic roots that make up the identity of Galicia.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING – students will not only learn to build friendships with one another, but also with their host families and local students. being in an international environment opens up our minds to new ideas, and 2 weeks in Spain will give back so much more than can be expected.
